Hudson

Hudson monitors the execution of repeated jobs, such as building software projects or jobs run by cron. Among those things, currently Hudson focuses on the following:

• Building/testing software projects continuously. In a nutshell, Hudson provides an easy-to-use continuous integration system, making it easier for developers to integrate changes to the project, and making it easier for users to obtain a fresh build. The automated, continuous build increases your organization’s productivity.
• Monitoring executions of externally-run jobs, such as cron jobs and procmail jobs, even those running on remote machines. With other systems you receive notifications that capture the output and it is your responsibility to monitor them diligently and notice when something is broken. Hudson keeps those outputs and makes it easy for you to realize when something is not working the way it should.
